Academic excellence.

Clapton Girls' Academy Sixth Formers achieve highly and go on to a wide range of fantastic futures. Whether university, other further study, apprenticeships, or employment, they choose what is right for them, guided by the academy’s excellent Careers Education department and supported by their tutors and other staff members.

Many of our students gain places at Russell Group universities whilst others go on to some of the UK’s most prestigious institutions as well as into apprenticeships.

We have strong partnerships with Goldsmiths, University of London; the University of East London; SOAS and Queen Mary which have helped prepare our students for life as undergraduates.

Summer 2024

CGA’s class of 2024 have a lot to celebrate after receiving a fantastic set of A-Level and BTEC results. Their excellent performance means that many have achieved their first-choice university or degree apprenticeship, including a record breaking six students who have gained places at Oxbridge to study a range of subjects including geography, history, politics, philosophy and biology. Half of our students will be attending Russell group universities including Edinburgh, Durham, St Andrews, Bristol, Manchester, Oxford, Cambridge, Kings, LSE, UCL and Queen Mary’s. Many students will be studying STEM subjects including medicine, chemical engineering, mathematics, physics, midwifery, nursing and physiotherapy. There are also many of our students who are studying art foundations, media, design, geography, English and history. Our BTEC results are the highest the academy has ever had under the new specifications and our vocational students have managed to get into some of the top universities in the UK including Warwick and Kings College London as well as onto some very impressive apprenticeships.

Leaver Destinations

Our students have shown dedication and perseverance to achieve this year’s fantastic A-level and BTEC outcomes, qualities which they will take with them into their future endeavours. They will go places with their results and fully deserve their brilliant successes.

We are extremely proud of them as they take up their degree studies at university or go on to apprenticeship training.

All our Year 13 students have shown great determination to succeed at the highest level and I am very excited for their amazing futures beyond our outstanding Sixth Form. Once again, the BTEC and A-level results are phenomenal and reflect the positivity and hard work of our wonderful students and staff. The students have taken every opportunity on offer in the Sixth Form and have been truly aspirational in their university and apprenticeship choices.
