Born to perform.
The Bronze Arts Award will allow you to engage with your creativity whilst devising pieces and performing on stage with professional directors and actors attached to the Almeida Theatre (one of our partners).
Check out the sixth form blog for our current Arts Awards students' review of Mary Stuart performed at the Almeida Theatre.
Industry connections.
Our successful and well connected expressive arts department will allow you to experience a range of exclusive opportunities through our network of industry professionals. Recently, Director of the film Suffragette, Sarah Gavron, led a film making workshop for Year 12 students and gave insight into the workings of the film industry. Some students who are interested in a career in film making have also been offered a work experience placement with her working on her latest project.
Young Directors.
Year 12 drama enrichment students have the opportunity to work with the Almeida Theatre on their Young Director Programme. This year students worked on a project called 'Reimagining Almeida' where they reinterpreted Almeida Theatre productions.
Whole school performances.
Take part in our whole school performances and experience what it takes to put on a full scale production. If centre stage isn't for you, there are just as many opportunities behind the scenes. Our recent whole school production of Matilda the Musical Jr. was made up of a full student crew and cast including set design, costume, sound and lighting.
